What are performance skills?
Performance skills include: staying in character, focus onstage and in rehearsal, spacial awareness, engaging the audience,

 Reflection on first half term
Over the first term I have gained further ballet knowledge and experience, and built upon what I already knew. I feel my jazz technique has already improved because of the exercises we have been doing to focus on specific skills and techniques. Further more, I also feel that my singing confidence has improved from performing in front of my classmates. I now want to work on my ballet technique to improve my turnout. The highlight of my first term has been my singing and jazz lessons, as I have loved learning new techniques. My 2 targets for the next half term are: push myself to help my confidence grow and practise performing more to increase my confidence and better my performance skills.

Reflection on second half term
Over the second half term I have improved, developed and gained new skills. My performance skills have improved as my confidence has grown and I am not embarrassed to look animated on stage. This is due to the vast amount of performance opportunities we have had over the term. I have demonstrated my new and improved skills the best in my lessons and rehearsals, I treat every lesson and rehearsal as if I am on stage. Although I showed these skills on stage, due to having some nerves I let some of my skills slip and not shine as much on stage. One of my achievements that I am proud of is being able to perform in front of my peers in singing and performing in the theatre. My strongest skills at the moment are my singing and performance skills and I need to improve my flexibility and ballet technique still. I would like to learn more about older musicals and theatre makeup as I find this interesting and I think it would be beneficial for my research and knowledge. Since the start of the course I have been taking part in a lot of singing in and outside of college, this h
as made me consider a path in music rather than musical theatre. To build towards my future goals I need to be hardworking, focussed and understand specifically what I want to do so I can work towards it.

Rating my skills
Singing: 8/10
Dancing: 7/10
Acting: 7/10
Performance skills: 8/10

End of term 2 reflection and skills
Over the last term I have been doing a lot of singing outside of college to develop my confidence and performance practise. I have been attending open mic events and also competed in a competition and manged to win it. During college we had been working on 'Little Shop of Horrors', I performed as Audrey and also performed a solo song in the showcase. Earlier on in the term I also completed a 20 minute recital. I think that from all the performance practise both on and off stage I have greatly improved my confidence as well as my performance skills and my singing/ dance technique. I have also gained new skills from working on the backstage job roles: costume, hair and makeup. I worked on these for our performances of 'Addams Family' and 'Little Shop of Horrors'. My strongest skills are my singing (as shown in my 20 minute set). After the college course I would love to study at a conservatoire college like Arts ED, Mountview or Guilford. To get to where I want to be in a few years time I nee to work on my written work and my dance.

Rating my skills
Singing: 9/10
Dancing: 7/10
Acting: 8/10
Performance skills: 8.5/10

These are the scores I gave myself out of 10 regarding my skills in all aspects of my work on the course.
